Mapping the Landscape of Spiritual Abuse and Trauma: Dan Koch

Mapping the Landscape of Spiritual Abuse and Trauma: Dan Koch

Our guest Dan Koch has been studying spiritual abuse and trauma in Christian churches. We talk about his recent findings, and their implications for faith in the 21st century.

Koch has been working on a doctorate that involves surveying Christian believers, and the results have shined light on the landscape of spiritual abuse and trauma that are lingering just below the surface in many denominations and congregations. We talk about these results, and what they do (and do not) tell us about the changing circumstances of belief.

Dan Koch, is the host of the You Have Permission Podcast and is a doctoral student in counseling psychology at Northwest University in Kirkland, WA.
