Dignity and Responsibility: Anthony M. Annett [Rebroadcast]

What do we owe to each other? Here in America, we have competing answers to that question, but a lot of those answers boil down to some form of individualism. But if we look to the writings of the Catholic Church, we get a different vision for how to organize our economy, and our life together.

In his recent book, Cathonomics, our guest Anthony M. Annett draws on economics, Catholic social thought, philosophy, climate science, and psychology to show how readers of all faiths and backgrounds can work together to create a more just economy.

Anthony M. Annett is a Gabelli Fellow at Fordham University and a senior adviser at the Sustainable Development Solutions Network. He has a PhD in economics from Columbia University and spent two decades at the International Monetary Fund, where he worked as a speechwriter to the managing director. He is also a member of the College of Fellows of the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology.
