Women in Ministry: Rev. Dr. Stacy Smith
It all started here.
This was our first-ever broadcast episode of Things Not Seen, featuring Rev. Stacy Smith, speaking to us about issues facing women ministers in the Protestant churches.
When we got started, we barely even had a website, and so for a number of years, this show did not even have a proper episode page. We apologize to Rev. Smith for that oversight.
We discussed her book Bless Her Heart: Life as a Young Clergy Woman.
Since we spoke, Rev. Smith went on to receive her Doctor of Ministry degree, and numerous awards for her writing.
The Rev. Dr. Stacy Smith is the editor in chief of Church Health Reader and director of the Knowledge Center at Church Health at the Church Health Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She holds degrees from Vanderbilt University, Union Theological Seminary and Austin College and is ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
