We speak to Amy Lillis, the former Acting Special Representative for Religion and Global Affairs in the Secretary’s Office of Religion and Global Affairs.
A Foreign Service Officer, Lillis has served in Nigeria, Turkey, the Office of International Religious Freedom, the Pakistan Desk, and as the Internal Politics Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan. Originally from Nebraska, Amy has a B.A. in Political Science from Lewis & Clark College and an M.S. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, with a focus on the role of religious actors and diaspora communities, from George Mason University.
