The Pragmatic Prophet: Martin Doblmeier on Telling the Story of Dorothy Day

For more than three decades, filmmaker Martin Doblmeier has been creating documentaries about persons with extraordinary spiritual gifts. Over the years, he has interviewed Billy Graham, Tich nat Hanh, and mother Theresa.

In his latest film, Revolution of the Heart, Doblmeier turns his lens on the life and struggles of Dorothy Day, co-founder of the Catholic Worker movement.

In this wide-ranging conversation, we discuss not only the legacy of Dorothy Day, but the creative process and the need for self-care.

The film will be shown on PBS affiliates around the country during the month of March.
