Jesus in His Own Words: Fr. Bill Cain, SJ [Rebroadcast]

Jesus in His Own Words: Fr. Bill Cain, SJ [Rebroadcast]

Bill Cain is a Jesuit who has spent his life writing screenplays for movies and television. Now, in his recent book, The Diary of Jesus Christ, he reimagines the stories of the Gospels from the point of view of Jesus himself, with breathtaking results.

The diary places us inside Jesus's consciousness, where the spirit of discovery, surprise, learning, doubt, failure and growth is in sharp contrast to the canonical gospels where Jesus seems, from the start, self-assured and even predestined to fulfill his role. It is a bold attempt to understand the person whom more than two billion people claim as their savior.

Bill Cain, SJ is a Jesuit priest and Peabody Award-winning screenwriter.
